Christina "Ann" Kelly

1946-2019

Christina "Ann" Kelly

Kelly, Christina Ann, age 73, of Antigonish, passed away on October 19, 2019 after a brief illness.

Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen (Duggan) Kelly.

Ann grew up in Glencoe, Guysborough County and moved to town at a young age. After high school, she got her first job at Neil’s Gift Shop, following that she began her banking career. She worked for several banking institutions throughout Ontario, P.E.I., Newfoundland and Nova Scotia retiring from Bergengren Credit Union, Antigonish several years ago. Throughout her career, Ann formed many great friendships.

Ann enjoyed her antiques and was an avid collector. She also loved gardening, travelling with her many close friends and listening to CBC radio. In the last number of year she was involved with St. Ninian’s CWL, making many a sandwich for funerals and forming friendships with the ladies she volunteered with. We will miss "Aunt Ann" at family celebrations and dinners. She was a part of them all.

Ann is survived by brothers, Danny (Rita) Kelly, Halifax; Steve (Christine) Kelly, Antigonish; sister, Mary (late Jack) Kell, Antigonish; sister in law, Bessie Kelly, Antigonish. 'Aunt Ann' will also be fondly missed by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brother, Maurice Kelly, nephew Carmen Broussard and niece Jacqueline (Kelly) Bennett.

There will be no visitation upon Ann’s request. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 am in St. Ninian Cathedral with Reverend Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Ninian’s CWL or St, Ninian Parish Foundation. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
