|It is
with saddened hearts that we announce, MacEachern, Phillip A., age 69,
of Ohio, Antigonish County passed away in St. Martha’s
Regional Hospital on November 23, 2019, surrounded by his loving
family.
Born
in Arisaig, Antigonish County, he was the son of the late Daniel
Joseph and Alice (Delaney)
MacEachern.
Phillip met and married his loving wife, Bernadette
with whom he would have celebrated their
50th wedding in a few months. Phillip’s greatest
joy in life was his family. Together with Bernadette, he had four
children, Cindy MacEachern (Dominic Benoit), Ohio, their son Aidan,
Joey (Antonietta) MacEachern Edmonton, their three boys, Michael,
Devin, and Kyle; Sandi (Kevin) Bowie Afton, their three children,
Heidi, Jacob and Gracie; Dawn (Brent) Boyle, Afton, their 4 children,
Logan, Hannah, Brody, and Blake. Then there’s the light of
his life, great grand-daughter, Olivia
Kaye.
He was
a man of great faith and love. He loved holidays, especially Christmas
and delighted in having his family and friends gathered for a great
meal, good music and inevitably some dancing. There was nothing nicer
than to see him joyfully lead mom around the dance floor. He was man
of great integrity and strength. He took great pride in his property
and enjoyed being outdoors, making hard work look easy. He was always
there for his friends and family to lend a helping hand no matter
what. We will be lost without you.
Phillip was member of Local #1392/#83 United
Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. A carpenter by trade, his skill
and craftsmanship brought him to many projects, big and small, all
across the province. Phillip and his life long friend, Maurice, worked
together as a team for more than 28 years. Their work can be found in
numerous buildings and homes where they took great pride in every
detail.
In

Grant; sisters: Josie (Johnny) MacEachern, Pleasant Valley; Mary Alice
(Brian) Gammon, New Glasgow; Hilda, Antigonish; Jeanette Crooks,
