MacDonald, Connie, age 105, of Antigonish passed away at Green Meadows Community Residence, North Grant on November 27, 2019.

Born in Havre Boucher, she was the daughter of the late William and Maggie (Crispo) MacEachern.

Connie was a long-time school teacher. She began her teaching career in a one room school at the age of 15. She met and married, Robbie, a fellow teacher, and together they raised a family of seven children while Connie continued to further her education and teach in elementary schools in Antigonish Town and County. Connie and Robbie loved to dance. They especially enjoyed their many winters in Flordia.

She is survived by her children: Marlene (Mantis) Cheng, Victoria; Dorothy Kate MacDonald, Ottawa; Bernadette (Walter) Chambers, Wells, Mass.; Gregory (Marion) MacDonald, Weymouth; Ian (Patricia) MacDonald, St. Albert, AB; Heather (Brian) Robertson, Kingston, ON; George B. (Patricia) MacDonald, Antigonish; sister, Beatrice Bennett, Guysborough; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Predeceased by husband, Robert; brothers Joe and Harold MacEachern; sisters, Martha MacDonald and Mae MacIsaac.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Sunday, December 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ninian Cathedral on Monday at 11:00 am with Reverend Bill Crispo presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.

The family extend a huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Green Meadows Community Residence for the kindness, love and care they extended to their mother over the past number of years.
