The family of Sharon MacIsaac regret to announce her passing on November 30, 2019 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax following a lengthy illness.

Sharon was born on October 15, 1947 in Antigonish and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (MacDonald) Rogers.

Sharon devoted her life to her family. She was so proud of her children’s accomplishments and cherished every moment with them and with her beloved granddaughters. They meant the world to her and were her pride and joy. Sharon's family adored her resilience and grace.  Sharon was loved by everyone who met her. She was the organizer of the family reunions and caretaker to many -- she did an amazing job. Many fondly remember her highland dancing days, competing and teaching the next generation, it’s not that long since she pulled off a fling. Sharon had a long career at CIBC in Antigonish and then Halifax and Dartmouth.  She will be remembered for her smile, her kindness, and her generous nature.

Sharon is survived by her children, Mark (Carissa) Calgary and Jennifer, Truro. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Cassie MacIsaac-Power, Truro, and Isabella Villaneuva MacIsaac, Calgary. Sharon is also survived by her brothers, Ambrose (Madeline) of Antigonish and Ronald (Cathy) of Antigonish, Jerome (Mary) of New Hampshire, Reggie (Jessie) Daye of Craigmore, Ernie (Harriet) Daye of Antigonish, and sisters Bernice Keay, Antigonish and Pauline (Jim) McCloskey of London, Ontario. She also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren who live near and far and held special places in her heart.

She was also predeceased by her husband, Hugh MacIsaac, brothers, Edward, Allan Hughie, Steven and Philip, sisters, Sister Rosemary CSM, Isabelle and Helen all of Antigonish.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Wednesday from 2 to4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass will be in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton on Thursday at 11:00 am with Reverend Andrew Gillies presiding.  Burial in St. Ninian Cemetery.
