Cirtwill, Carol Margaret (nee Walsh), age 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in James River, Antigonish County in the early morning hours of December 22, 2019.

Beloved mother, treasured wife and faithful friend. She will be missed by all those who knew her. A champion bowler and noted youth athlete, she continued to be active even as a grandma. She mastered the sport of "hall hockey" in between bingo, puzzles, dispensing wisdom and encouraging faith. Carol was an active member of the Antigonish Lion’s Club.

She is survived by husband Charlie; daughters Anna, James River and Irene "Rennie", London ON; son Charles (Samantha), Thunder Bay ON. Her departure leaves a hole in the lives of her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. One of eleven siblings born and raised in Charlottetown PEI, she is survived by sisters Eileen and Debbie; brothers Paul, and Allison.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters Beverly and Frances; brothers Donny, Barry, Roland and Pat.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday, January 10th from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be in St. Joseph’s Church, St. Joseph’s on Saturday, January 11th at 11:00 am with Father Lazarus presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.

Her family wishes to thank the Almighty Father for the blessings of her life, the brevity of her illness, and the gentleness of her passing. In lieu of flowers, we welcome you to make a donation in memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Antigonish Lion’s Club. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
