MacEachern, Hilda A., age 68, of Monastery, Antigonish County passed away at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital on December 21, 2019 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Guysborough, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Annie (Jones) Worth.

Hilda worked as a traffic controller for over twenty-five years, retiring from Nova Construction in 2018. Her children and grandchildren were a big part of her life. She loved life and had many interests; dancing, pickling, making bread, and being in the outdoors hunting and fishing.

She is survived by her children: Johnny (Joanne), Antigonish; Roland, Lantz: Charlie (Allison), Mt. Uniacke; Annie (David), Antigonish; Anthony (Natasha), Pinevale; Ernie (Joanna), Grand Prairie; Louise (Cory), Monastery; her grandchildren whom she dearly loved and many she cared for as her children; one great grandchild; brothers: Bernie, Charlie, Jackie, Donald; sisters: Irene, Marie, Isabel, Hazel, Rita, Patricia, Doreen.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Yvonne and son Gordon; brothers Joe, Bill, Angus, Leo and Leslie.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Thomas Church, Salmon River with Father Callistas presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
