Heather Florence Landry

Landry, Heather Florence, age 75, of Summerside Road, passed away on February 10, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Jean (MacAulay) Dixon.

Heather was employed at Michelin Canada, Granton for 26 years from where she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, photography, old time rock and roll music, dancing especially the jive, animals, sewing and crocheting, and telling stories about growing up in Chance Harbour.

Heather is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gerard; daughter, Mandi Lloy (Bob Myers), Springville; sons: Hugh, Amherst; Gerard Jr. (Amanda Pelly) St. Paul’s; grandchildren, Kaelynne, Connor, Ben, Carter, Chase, Conner, Ashton and Laila; sister, Cheryl Bernard, New Glasgow and brother Errold (Carrie) Dixon, Pleasant Valley, Pictou Co; special cousin, Barbara Purvis, New Glasgow. She is also survived by mother- in-law, Ethel Landry, Tracadie; sisters-in-law, Linda (Austin) Boudreau, East Tracadie; Irene McNamara, Edmonton; Sandra Chisholm, New Glasgow; Denise (Brad) Johnson, Dartmouth; Sharon Landry, Dartmouth; brothers in law:  Ignatius (Deanna) Landry, Warren Grove, PEI; Ivan Landry, Toronto; several nieces and nephews.

Heather was predeceased by sister, Joan Goodwin; brother Fraser Dixon.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday from 2- 4:30 pm in the Monastery Fire Dept.  Another celebration of life will take place in Springville at a later date.
