Macgillivray, Donald
Gregory "Greg", 68, passed away at his home
on March 26, 2020.
Born on August 1, 1951 in
Antigonish, he was the son of the late Colin and Maureen (MacKinnon)
Macgillivray.
Greg studied at StFX and worked as
a teacher and guidance counsellor in Kennetcook and Pictou County. He
was actively involved with the Nova Scotia Teachers Union and enjoyed
his retirement at Mahoney’s Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Marie
(MacPherson); children Josh (Szilvia Szabo), Moraig (Patrick Yancey);
siblings Judy, Paul (Clare Ann Quirk), Mark (Linda Boyle), David
(Tonya MacCormick); grandchildren Desmond and Alice Yancey and Avery
Macgillivray as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was
predeceased by brother, Colin; and nephew, Dennis
MacPherson.
Cremation has taken place. Services
will be announced at a later date.
Greg’s family would like
to express our sincere thanks to the medical team that looked after
him in his final years.
