Brow, Eleanor Jane, age 99, of Cape Jack passed away in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, on May 30, 2020.
Born in Havre Boucher, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anastasia (Levangie) DeCoste.
Eleanor was a wonderful lady who was talented in so many areas. She made beautiful quilts and doilies as well as other crafts, was known for her beautifully decorated cakes and spent many hours preserving and canning. Eleanor’s special passion for flowers gained her and Hubert 1st Place Award for most beautiful flower garden in Nova Scotia many years in a row. She will be greatly missed and will be remembered always as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her son, Allister (Marian), Guysborough; daughter, Darlene (Larry) Campbell, Cape Jack; grandchildren: Jennifer (Dana), Cindy (Shawn); Jerrmey (Sinead); great grandchildren, Liam and Maeve; sisters-in-law, Martha DeCoste and Leona Brow.
She was predeceased by husband, Hubert; brothers, Phonso, Joseph X. and Gerard; sisters: Rita, Myrtle, Ethel and Sadie Elizabeth (in infancy).
There will be a private visitation and funeral service. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Havre Boucher.
