Chisholm, Hughena F., age 71, of Malignant Cove passed away on June 21, 2020 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Antigonish. she was the biological daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Kennedy) MacDonald but raised by her uncle and aunt John and Clara Ross, Arisaig.

Hughena worked as a PCW at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home for many years. Following retirement she fished with her husband, Bernie. She loved to be in the outdoors, fishing, collecting beach glass and tending to her flower beds.

She is survived by her husband Bernie, children: Kenny (Allison), Malignant Cove; Tanya (Greg) Beairsto, Kennsington, PEI; Kenzie MacNeil, Iona; grandchildren: Madison, Khalee, Gorman, John Angus, Nicole, Kristen, Ashlyn; great grandchild, Lizzie and step sister, Diane Paquette, Ontario.

She was predeceased by her great grandchild, Layla; sisters, Anna and Mary Janet and step brother, Charlie Ross.

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Covid 19 regulations, a family burial service will be held in St. George’s Cemetery, Georgeville with Reverend Andrew Boyd presiding.
