Tate, George Ambrose, age 76, of Linwood, Antigonish County, passed away on July 27, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Anne (MacKeough) Tate.

Ambrose was a truck driver all his life in Ontario and Nova Scotia, and he loved driving.  He enjoyed watching baseball, hockey, and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth (Delorey); his sister, Arletta MacKeough (or, as he called her, "Chicky-poo"), New Glasgow; niece, Tanya Chisholm; sisters-in-law, Donna Chisholm and Mary (Joe) Grover; brothers-in-law, Walter (Denise) Diggins and Neil Diggins; and his beloved pet dog, Rudy.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Dave and Arletta MacChesney, who raised him; and his dog, Benji.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family funeral will be held.
