Isadore, Andrew Joseph "Antle", age 60 of Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation passed away on October 6, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Baddeck, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary Belle Isadore.

Andy was a craftsman and enjoyed carpentry.  He was a loving and caring person with a big heart, devoted to his wife and family.  Andy was good with his hands and talented in woodworking – his wooden flowers can be seen all through Paqtnkek.  He was an active member of AA, and he started the chapter on the reserve.  Andy enjoyed fishing, especially mackerel and ice fishing, and playing VLTs.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Dorothy (Sylliboy); daughter, Emily Sylliboy, Paqtnkek; son, Wayne Francis, Wagmatcook; brothers, Louis (Rita), Wagmatcook; and Pete (Maxine), Ontario; sister, Ann Bridget, Wagmatcook; godchildren, Katie Isadore, Kathy Bright, Madonna Francis, and Francine Simon; his Uncle Walter, Aunt Katherine, Aunt Jane, and countless loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as his foster mother, Juanita Paul, Whycocomagh.

Predeceased by siblings, Celia, Paul, and John Wayne; and foster father, Dan J. Paul.

Visitation will begin Friday at 5pm at 41 Saqamaw Road, Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation until time of funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, Monday at 11:00am, Reverend Andrew Gillies presiding.  Social distancing protocols must be followed, and masks are mandatory.

Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Summerside Road.  A feast and salite will follow in the Community Centre.
