MacDonald, Kevin Gerard, age 57, of Lower Barneys River passed away on March 30, 2021.

Born in Antigonish and raised in McArras Brook, he was a son of the late Frank and Marie MacDonald.

Kevin had the hands of a man who worked hard his entire life, first on as a kid on the family farm and then as heavy-duty mechanic.  Kevin used these skills to help out in his community, and they are skills he enjoyed teaching his children.  He also had a great sense of humour, and he enjoyed playing little jokes on the people he cared about.

He is survived by his wife, Lori (Hendsbee); daughters, Ginney (Caleb), Calgary and McArra, at home; son and best friend, Dylan, Cloverville; brothers, Angus (Jeanie) and Carl (Sheila), McArras Brook; Stuart (Elaine), Lismore; Lawrence (Shelley), Avondale; and Donnie (late Marlene), North Grant; sisters, Marion (John) MacEachern, McArras Brook; Ann (Jim) Clark, Ontario; Betty MacDonald, Antigonish; and Colleen (Harold) Teasdale, Fort McMurray; sisters-in-law, Cindy Perrin and Brenda Belliveau; and brothers-in-law, Russell, Steve, and Kevin Hendsbee.

Predeceased by mother-in-law, Kay Hendsbee.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.  Social distancing protocols are in place, and masks are mandatory.  Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday in St. Mary’s Church, Lismore, at 11:00am, Reverend Colin MacKinnon presiding. The service will be recorded and available for viewing on the funeral home website later that afternoon.

Burial in the parish cemetery.

In Memoriam, donations to the SPCA appreciated.  Online condolences:  www.clcurry.com
