MACEACHERN Lawrence Archibald, gone but will never be forgotten, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family April 24, 2021 at the age of 77.

Born December 15th, 1943 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late James and Mary (MacDonald) MacEachern

Lawrence was funny, kind, and always a good friend. He was as a carpenter and was well respected by colleagues and friends. Most times you could find Lawrence in his shop working on old cars, on his tractor, or mowing the grass. He was always available to anyone in need to fix anything brought into his "one hundred acres" toolbox.

Lawrence was an integral part of our immediate and extended family. He will always be remembered with a lifetime of beautiful memories by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Fraser); his children: daughter, Juanita, Red Deer, AB; son, Dennis (Kaela), Calgary; and daughter, Brenda, Antigonish; and his cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Drew, Dahlia, Morgan, Taylor, Braden, Ella, Caileigh, and Cooper; along with his great grandchildren Elizabeth and Vincent.

Leaving to mourn are siblings: Albert (Ann), Truro; Sally (Ken), Windsor Junction; and Elmer (Kathy), Beaverbank; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two siblings: Helen and James.

We are so grateful for the Palliative Care Team, especially Heather Brander and Dr. Mike MacKenzie, as well as the staff on the Palliative Care Unit at St Martha’s Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held in St. Columba Cemetery, Lakevale, when those who loved him are able to come together to celebrate his life.

In his memory, donations can be made to the MS Society, Antigonish Food Bank or the Alzheimer Society.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.  Online condolences:  www.clcurry.com
