Doiron, James Gerard "Jim", age 49, of Pomquet,
Antigonish County. We are heartbroken to announce Jim's
passing on April 24, 2021.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Marcelline (DeYoung) and
the late Jimmie Doiron.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his coffee runs, but his
first love was his kids. He worked in the grocery business
since he was 16 years old, most recently as a training and development
officer for Arctic Co-op. A sharp wit and sarcastic to a
fault, Jim had a generous heart and made friends easily everywhere he
went. He didn’t like to sit still for long, and he
took pride in everything he did, needing it to be
perfect.
Besides his mother, Marcelline, he is survived by his
children Hannah Catherine and Evan James, both in Lower South River;
partner, Michelle McPhee, Evanston; siblings, Joyce (Stephen) Smith,
Doctors Brook; Jeanne, Pomquet; and Joey (Karen), St. George, NB, and
their daughter, Madeline Grace Doiron, who absolutely adored her Uncle
Jim.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family funeral will be
held, and burial will be held in Ste. Croix Cemetery,
Pomquet. You can view the funeral live at 2:00pm
in the VIDEOS tab on this obituary.
In Memoriam, donations to CACL Antigonish or the Mental
Health Foundation of Nova Scotia appreciated.
