Kennedy, Mark Wilfred, age 23, of St. Andrews, Antigonish County, passed away on June 4, 2021 at home.

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Gerard and Tracy (MacDonald) Kennedy of St. Andrews.

Mark had attended Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School.....most days.  He worked seasonally at Scott & Stewart Forestry. A gifted athlete, he enjoyed softball, but hockey was his passion.  He played with the  Antigonish Bulldogs in Atom & Peewee; the Bantam Nova Junior X-Men; the Cape Breton West Islanders; Junior A with both Pictou County Crushers and the Valley Wildcats and finally with the Rural League County Outlaws.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother and best friend, Bradley, Calgary; grandparents, Wilfred and Myrtle MacDonald and Sadie (late Donnie) Kennedy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and teammates.

Predeceased by his aunt, Cathy (Kennedy) Caron, and cousins, Connor MacDonald and Luke Brown.

Cremation has taken place.  Due to COVID restrictions, a private family funeral will be held on Monday, June 21st.  The service will be recorded and available for viewing on the funeral home website later in the day.

In Memoriam, donations to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia appreciated.

Mark always showed kindness when asking about how "others" were doing.  "If you see someone struggling, lost or sad, reach out to them. Most of all be kind."

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.  Online condolences:  www.clcurry.com
