Bowie, Dylan David, age 20, of Lochaber, Antigonish County, passed away on June 25th, 2021, at home.

Born in Antigonish he was a son of David Bowie and Tracy DeCoste.

A handsome young man with the biggest brown eyes and longest eyelashes you can imagine (envied by all women!). Dylan had a beautiful smile and a special personality that could light up a room and make everyone laugh. He had a huge appreciation for his second chance at life and cherished the time spent with those he loved. Although he was a protective big brother to Emma and Austin, he was a true best friend to them both. He always wanted the best for everyone.

He began to follow in his father and the Bowie family’s footsteps as a third generation Ironworker. Dylan loved fast cars and spent many hours working on them, especially his Honda with his buddies. He always wanted to be on tour. He loved playing Xbox while munching on Doritos and Skittles, but mostly he loved spending as much time as he possibly could with his girlfriend, Fallon.

Dylan, you were one of the toughest people we knew; to fight through these past few years, you were Superman! You were taken too soon but we loved you enough for a lifetime. Goodbye hurts so much because your story was not finished. We will be watching for you as you ride through the sunsets and see you soar with the eagles.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Austin; sister, Emma; his one true love, Fallon Richards; grandparents Raymond and Carol DeCoste and John and Debbie Bowie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family celebration of life will be held Saturday at 2:00pm.  The celebration will be livestreamed and available for viewing on the funeral home website.

Family flowers only please.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre (QEII Foundation) or the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L .Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.  Online condolences:  www.clcurry.com
