Green, William Albert, age 80, of St. Andrews, Antigonish
County and most recently of Greenwald Manor, Antigonish, passed away
peacefully on September 6, 2021, in St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Albert and
Catherine (Huntley) Green.
Dad met the love of his life in 1966, and together they
raised 6 children.
Dad was a hard worker and worked his entire life in the
forestry industry, and he was well known for his pulp cutting
capabilities. If you needed a good edge on your saw, he was
the man to do it.
Dad had a passion for work horses. He loved his days of horse
pulling and was a member of the Eastern Nova Scotia Draft Horse
Association. Dad looked forward to Christmas tree season
every year, where he worked with his long-time friend, John, at
Maritime Balsams for 35 years. If you need him in the month
of November, you could find him in the sugar shack.
He is survived by his children, Darryl (Brenda), Dagger
Woods; Jeanine (Dave), Tignish, PEI; Brian (Melinda), Merigomish;
Jason (Kimberly), Pomquet; Mark (Lyndsey), Alberta; and Will (Kendra),
St. Andrews; grandchildren, Aaron, McKayla, Gavin, Dana, Andrew, Emma,
Ryley, Blake, Zoe, Zack, Hunter, Bella, Max, and Jack; siblings,
Melinda England, John Seaward, Charles, Michael, Francis, Allan,
Donald, and Peter.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Amy; sisters, Theresa Guthro,
Sarah Mizner, Kathleen Mattie; brothers, George and Vincent, and twins
Thomas and Louise, in infancy.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of
VON, Home Care, St. Martha’s, and Dr. Gallivan for the
wonderful care Dad received.
