DeCoste, John Alexander, Age 82, Antigonish passed away on October 12, 2021, at Parkland at the Lakes, Dartmouth.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the Late John & Ann (MacDonald) DeCoste.

John was a meatcutter at the Antigonish IGA for over 40 years. John loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Kara (Tom), North Grant; grandchildren, Shawn (April) Kirton, Jamie (Chris) Fountain, and Leeann (Dwayne) Pearson; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers Donald and Tony.

He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Rawding); and his son, Tony.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family funeral will be held.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
