Greencorn, Donna Bernadette, age 67, of Fairmont, Antigonish County, passed away on November 20, 2021, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Jessie (Tramble) Greencorn.

With a green thumb like no other, Donna could be found "picking around the yard" gardening and planting flowers.  She loved the beauty of nature, and she passed this love on to her grandchildren.  She was very close with her late sister, Patsy, and continued to have a close relationship with all of Patsy’s girls:  Laurie, Kelly, Krista, and Jamie.  She was also an amazing cook, from her bread and buns to her ham, potato salad, fishcakes, and beans.  The best of listeners, she was the master secret-keeper of Fairmont.

She is survived by her partner, Francis Neary; sons, David (Jolene), of whom she was especially proud; and Shane, for whom she was an unbelievable caregiver all his life; grandchildren, Kelsey and Jacob; siblings, Robert, Minnie (Frank) Heffernan; Barbara (Tom) Connors, and Darlene Cameron.

Predeceased by her siblings, Walter, David, Billy, Johnny, Patsy, Mike, and Bernie.

There will be no visitation, and a private graveside service will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Heatherton.
