Boudreau, William Chesley, East Tracadie

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Chesley Boudreau formerly of East Tracadie who passed away at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home on September 30, 2022, at the age of 87.

Born in East Tracadie on November 5, 1934, he was the son of the late William and Hilda (Levangie) Boudreau.

He worked as a carpenter, a carpet installer, small engine repairman, a fisherman, and a handyman. If there was a job to be done, William could do it.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, gardening, telling stories, and building things for and with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Shirley (DeCoste); three children: Father Daniel Boudreau, Reserve Mines; David (Sharon) Boudreau, East Tracadie; Marian (Eric) Mikkelson, Antigonish; four grandchildren; whom he loved dearly and was so proud: Parker and Olivia Boudreau; Kyle and Andrew Mikkelson; three brothers: James; Richard (Betty) and Albert (Sharon) all of East Tracadie.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Eugene; and sister Celestine Gillis; and many members of his extended family.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Thursday, October 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass will be in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie on Friday at 11:00 am with Reverend John Barry and Reverend Daniel Boudreau presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery.

Donations in William’s memory may be made to St. Peter’s Parish, Tracadie.

The family would like to thank the staff of the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home for the care they provided to William.  Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
