Angevine, Judith Marie "Judy", age 77, of Marshy
Hope.
It is with heavy hearts we mourn the death of Judith Marie
"Judy". Judy lived most of her life in Marshy
Hope, where she raised six children with her husband, Earl, until his
passing: Earlene, Merigomish; Joan, British Columbia; John,
West River Station; Billy (Cathy), Pinevale; Earl, Jr. (Pat),
Piedmont; and Charmaine (Derek), Stewiacke.
One of her great loves was her grandchildren, Alicia, Ryan,
Randy, Meghan, Cody, Heather, Marcus, and William David, who passed in
infancy; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Carly, Tristan, Isla, and
Genesis. She always had treats and change ready whenever
they stopped by.
Judy was a wonderful cook and baker. She could take
the simplest thing and turn it into a delicious meal. Judy
was an avid quilter, and she created many wonderful works of
art. Many family and friends were fortunate to receive these
on special occasions, many of which are still in use
today.
Judy loved to go to yard sales with her beloved sister, Sue,
always looking for the next great treasure. She had many
exciting adventures with good friends Annie and Marie. You
never knew which part of the province they would end up
in.
She loved animals, especially dogs. They were a
constant companion to her over the years.
Judy is also survived by her sister, Marg; and three
brothers, Jack, Charlie, and Bob.
She was predeceased by her parents, Oakley and Mamie Dean;
husband, Earl; son, Earl, Jr.; and baby, Mary, and grandson, William
David, both in infancy; and brothers, Dave and Ben; and sister,
Sue.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hickey for his many years
of care given to Judy. Special thanks to the doctors and
nurses in PCU at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital.
We appreciate the excellent care Judy received.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in
C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral will
be held Monday at 10:00am in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Fr. Danny
MacLennan presiding. Burial in Glen Bard Cemetery, James
River.
