Myette, Jeffrey Ernest – Age 71 of Antigonish, passed away at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital on Monday, February 27th, 2023.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of the late Ernest and Virginia (Clyde) Myette.
Jeffrey was an electrician with IBEW local 625, proud to have worked in locations all over North America. Even with such a busy working life, there was time for Sunday drives with his family, where a vanilla ice cream was usually in hand and country music on the radio. However, it was not uncommon to hear the likes of anyone from "The King" to the Rolling Stones. A jack of all trades, he made many repairs to ensure his daughters’ vehicles were in peak condition or helping family members with plumbing or carpentry projects. Apart from that, there is a good chance he could have been found on his John Deere meticulously mowing his many acres.
He is survived by his spouse Darlene (Melanson); daughters Jakalee and Jyleah (Connor), both of Antigonish; sisters Virginia (Gordon) Grieve, Oshawa Ont., Maureen (John) DeCoste, Truro, and Lorraine Boucher; sister-in-law Debbie Myette; mother-in-law Peggy MacPherson; goddaughter Tanya DeCoste; and many special nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Kevin; twin sister Jennifer in infancy; brother-in-law, Derrick Melanson, and special aunt Mabel Anker.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Thursday, March 2nd from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. A private family funeral service will follow with a Livestream available on the funeral home website at 5:00 pm.
Burial will take place at a later date in St. Ninian’s Cemetery, Antigonish.
