Rector, Greta Lillian, Antigonish

Heaven gained an angel with the passing of our dear mother, Greta Lillian Rector, Pleasant Street, Antigonish.  Mom was born in Elderbank, Halifax County on August1, 1933 to the late Mildred Farnell and passed away on March 17, 2023 at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.

Mom was the strongest person we knew.  She overcame many obstacles in her life, but she couldn’t over come the congestive heart failure that took her from us.  She fought a hard battle but lost in the end.

She is survived by her four daughters, Mary Ann, Pictou; Judy (Danny), Beech Hill;  Diane (Bill), Cambridge ON; Bernadette (Joe), Cape George; sister, Hazel Henley, New Glasgow; six grandchildren; two great granddaughters and one great great granddaughter.

Predeceased by husband, Bob; son, Robert "Junior" and granddaughter, Linda.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by family request. Burial of ashes at a later date.
