Mac Sween , Mary Geraldine , Antigonish, passed away at Green Meadows Seniors Home on August 24, 2012. Born in 1917 in Low Point, Cape Breton, she was daughter of Waldon and Laura Mae (Ling) MacGillivrary.

She was a resident of Antigonish for 68 years. Geraldine was a woman of profound faith who believed that prayer would guide her through the challenges of raising twelve children. In later years her son Roderick was her intervener.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Roddie, son Roderick , sisters Genevieve, Laura, Mary, Lenora, Muriel, brother Waldie and granddaughter Catrina.

She is survived by her children Murdock, Naples, Florida; Geraldine, Dartmouth; Rosemary Casey(Bill), Amherst; Stephen(Mary), Milton, ON; Loretta Mitchell(Dave), London, ON; Helen Anderson(Andy), Saskatoon, SK; Blaise(April), Alix, AB; Margaret(Al Murray), Calgary, AB; Lenora Dicks(Joe), Fredericton, NB; Pauline MacLellan(Leon), Antigonish, NS; David, Calgary, AB; her sister Bernadette Dunphy, North Sydney; her brothers James, Low Point, Cape Breton and Blay, St.Catherine’s, ON; her 24 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held In St. Ninian's Cathedral on Monday at 11:00 am with Reverend Tom MacNeil presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
