MacInnis, Elton
Hugh, 67, Antigonish. It is with great sadness that
Elton’s family announce his passing at St.
Martha’s Hospital on August 14th,
2014.
He was the son of the late John Hugh and Mary MacInnis of
Cape George Point.
Starting at the age of 15, Elton began his many years of work
as a heavy equipment operator and he always enjoyed his
work.
Elton is survived by his longtime partner Joanne Novak and
the Novak family. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters
– Joe (Bernadette), Leroy (Anne Marie), Marianne (David)
Austen, Rosie (A.J.) MacDonald, Simone MacDonald, Shirley Brown,
Roberta MacDougall and sister-in-law Linda MacInnis, and many nieces,
nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Elton was predeceased by his brother Jimmy, nephew Jamie and
brother-in-law Andy Brown.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at
10:30am on Monday, August 18 at Holy Rosary Church,
Ballantyne’s Cove, Reverend Evo DiPierro
presiding.
Donations can be made to Antigonish Town and County
Palliative Care Society, Cathy’s Place, or a charity of
choice.
