Baxter, Beverly Judith,
69, Greenwold Manor, Antigonish passed away on October
30, 2014 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital,
Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late
John Dan and Ethel Maude (Prime)
Cameron.
Beverly was a resident of Greenwold Manor for the
past fifteen years. She loved music, weekend dances and being "on
the move" whether being a taxi for someone else or taking in an
event. She was a hard working person, independent and strong willed.
She enjoyed time with her family and friends and especially loved a
hot cup of tea and an oatcake. Beverly had a great sense of style and
fashion and always looked liked 'a million bucks' in whatever she
wore. She will be remembered fondly for her generosity and
kindheartedness.
She is survived by children: Jane MacDonald; Ethel
(Johnny) MacPherson; Marie Cleary; Edward (Carla) Baxter; Danielle
(Bernie) Skinner; mother in law, Anne Baxter; sister, Edith Aker;
brother, Norman (Betty) Cameron; sisters in law: Georgina
Cameron, Ann Haley-Cameron, Chrissy Cameron, Marcia (Dave)
Rhynold, Marilyn (Brian) Landry; brother in law, Ralph (Mary) Baxter;
grandchildren: Shawn, Robin, Kevin, Tyler, Jessica, Kyle, Ashley,
Tara, Robynne, Mark, Dominique; great grandchildren: Hanna, Brianna,
Morgan and Savannah; long time friend, Danny MacDonald.
She was predeceased by husband, Douglas; daughter,
Mary Patricia, in infancy; sisters: Hilda, Ruth, Eva and Effie;
brothers: Jack, Angus and Gordon; brother in law, Lorne Baxter.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135
College Street, Antigonish on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral will be held in St. James United Church on Sunday at 2 pm with
Reverend Peter Smith presiding. Burial in St. James/St. Paul
Cemetery.
