Feltmate, Ross "Rossie" J., 65 of Bayfield, formerly of White Head, Guysborough Co., passed away on November 26, 2014 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Canso, on April 1, 1949 he was a son of the late Ross G and Margaret L. Feltmate.

Ross lived in Upper White Head most of his young years moving to Bayfield in the 60's. He spent a 12 year period in Scarbrorough, Ont. then returned to Bayfield until the onset of his illness when he moved to the JJ Carroll House in the town of Antigonish.

Ross was a fisherman as well as a woodsman in the pulp business. He worked as a shipper and receiver while in Ontario. His favourite pastime was sport fishing with his best friend Arthur Landry.

He is survived by his brother Brad, Antigonish; sisters: Lois Connors, New Glasgow; Leata C. Pellerine, Isaac's Harbour; Gladys (Ray) Fanning' Goldboro; numerous nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in C.L.Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St. Antigonish. Funeral Service will be Sunday at 3pm in St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Bayfield, Reverend Sue Channen presiding.

We, the family, would like to thank the Victorian Order of Nurses, the doctors and nurses in the Progressive Care Unit at St. Martha's Regional Hospital, neighbor Anna Marie Landry, Antigonish Town and County Palliative Care, and any others who showed such compassion and care for our brother and our family.
