Culleton (DeCoste), Mary Margaret, 77, of the J.J. Carroll
House, Antigonish, passed away January 2, 2015, in St. Martha's
Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Monastery, Antigonish County, she was the daughter
of the late Francis and Margaret (Bowie) DeCoste.
In her younger years, Mary worked as a waitress at Wong's
Restaurant and South Garden Restaurant and later at Roundtree
Chocolates in Toronto.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth (late Judy) Weir,
Truro, Bob (Patricia) Weir, Oromocto, NB, Darrell (Cathy) Hulbert,
Afton, Kevin (Sharon) Culleton, Toronto, and Tracey (Jason)
Culleton-Romeril, Canning; 11 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray (Bev), Antigonish, Carl (Collette),
Monastery, Harold (Beatrice), East Tracadie, and Frankie (Mary),
Monastery; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; son, Clayton
DeCoste; brothers, Danny, Clayton Eugene, Andrew, Joe, Bobby, Leonard,
and Jeffrey.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be
held Tuesday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, on
Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held
Wednesday at 11:00am in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, with Father John
Barry presiding. Burial in the parish
cemetery.
