Davidson, Annie Mae, 82, of Antigonish and formerly of Afton, passed away peacefully in Highland Crest Home, Antigonish on January 4, 2015.

Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late William and Emily (DeYoung) Davidson.

Annie Mae moved from Afton to St. Ninian Plaza, Antigonish, in 2003 and moved to Highland Crest Home in 2011. She loved knitting, playing cards, and bingo. Annie Mae loved people. All told, Annie Mae worked 35 years at Crispo & MacIntosh, Antigonish IGA, and Robertson's Save Easy. She is well known in Antigonish for her daily walks downtown.

She is survived by brother, George (the late Miriam), Windsor, Ont.; sisters: Margaret (late Don) MacQuarrie, Windsor, Ont.; Bernadette (late Billy) Chisholm, Lower South River; Helen (Joe) DeYoung, Afton; special nephew, Mark (Cheryl) DeYoung and their children Brandon and Sydney, James River; sisters-in-law, Joan Davidson and Catherine Davidson, Timmins, Ont.; many nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by brothers, William and James; niece, Judy Chisholm; nephew, Wayne MacQuarrie; grandnieces: Melissa Landry, Amber Lynn and Krista; Godparents, Mae and Charles Davidson.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie with Reverend John Barry presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
