Chisholm, Margaret "Carmel, Heatherton

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our favourite sister, aunt and friend on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Martha's Regional Hospital, with family at her side.

Born May 1, 1952 she was a loving daughter of the late Kenneth and Catherine (Hanrahan) Chisholm.

Carmel was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and CWL. She was actively involved in the Heatherton Activity Centre since its beginning, and resided at the Small Options Home in Heatherton since its opening 18 years ago. Carmel loved knitting, crocheting and taking part in community and family activities.

She is survived by, and will be greatly missed by, siblings: Catherine Ranger, London, Ont.; Donald (Evelyn); Libby (Chisholm) MacDonald; Albert (Joan) all of Heatherton; sister-in-law, Jeanette Chisholm and aunt Chrissie Chisholm, Antigonish; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her extended family Margie, Joey, Charlie, Frank and Colin.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers: Charlie, Ronnie, Jim, Stewart and brother-in-law Glen Ranger.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Monday, January 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton on Tuesday at 10:30 am with Reverend Charles Cameron presiding. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Special Olympics (Eastern Highlands) or a charity of choice. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
