UPDATE ON POSTPONEMENT OF FUNERAL
Due to continuing snow conditions, the
funeral of the late Jeanie Boyle will be held TOMORROW, SATURDAY, AT
2pm in St. Peter's Church.

"Jeanie", 72, of Afton Station passed away
Feb 2, 2015 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital
Born in Merland, She was a daughter of the late Henry and
Gertie (McKeough) Bowie.
Jeanie started her nursing career as a nurses assistant.
Making the decision to have career as an RN she continued to work as
she perused her studies. She worked for 9 years in the O.R. in Sarina
Ont., after which she returned home to Afton where she and her husband
Eugene built their home and began their family. Several years later
she returned to the nursing field until her health became an issue.
Jeanie's hobbies were shopping, bingo, and going to flea markets, but
her greatest joy came from her 7 grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Bradley (Sarah), Afton;
grandchildren: Dalton, Autumn, Alex, Shamus, Audrey, Cora, and Andy;
sister Louise (late Buddy) Boyle, Afton; brothers James (Margie),
Spryfield, Michael (Elaine), Afton; Elmer (Georgia),
Merland.
Predeceased by her husband Eugene, sister Shirley (George),
brother Donnie (Valerie), nephew Jimmy.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday in C.L.
Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be
at 11:00am on Friday in St. Peter's Church, Reverend John Barry
presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
