Pettipas, Florence
Elizabeth It is with heavy hearts that we
regretfully announce that our loving, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother, Florence Elizabeth Pettipas, formerly of Linwood,
Antigonish County passed away surrounded by her family on February 12,
2015 at the age of 98.
At the time of her passing
she was a resident of the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish

She was a woman of intense
faith. She was a stay at home mom. Caring for her children was her
most important task. She was a very hard worker who did her own
housework plus all the outside work as her husband worked away all
week for a number of years. Later in life she worked in the cleaning
department of a couple of motels in Antigonish and Port Hawkesbury.
Mom was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards. She enjoyed
going to the casino and usually came home a winner. She enjoyed
knitting for her family members. Mom was an excellent cook and enjoyed
having family and friends over for a meal or a cup of tea. Mom was the
rock of our family and will be dearly missed and always remembered for
her kindness, her devotion, and her beautiful smile. She had a heart
of gold.
She is survived by
daughters: Betty (Jerome) Sampson; Linda (Art) Stewart and Doreen
(Jack) Carr, all of Linwood; daughters in law: Arletta, St. Francis
Harbour; Lorraine, Hamilton, Ont.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great
grandchildren and 5 great great

22, 2008; Joey on March 13, 2013; Francis on Sept, 27, 1994; daughter
