Chisholm,Gerald Colin "Jerry", age 52, of Antigonish passed away on March 5, 2015, at home.

Born in Antigonish on May 10, 1962, he was a son of the late Fred and Eadie Chisholm of Guysborough Intervale.

Jerry worked many years for the Canadian Coast Guard in Halifax and made many friends during his time working on several ships. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. Jerry was a hardworking man who did his best to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his children Erika (Peter Gould), St. John's, NL, and Jacob, Antigonish; siblings Joe (Kay) Havendale; Dan(Mary), Harbour Center; Shirley Gallant (Roger), Panmure Island, PEI; Ron (Anne) Lower Sackville; Glenn (Carlie) Williams Point; Wayne (Cindy), Malignant Cove; Allister (Nancy), Larry's River; Eileen White (Tom), Country Harbour; Rick (Pam), Antigonish; Helen Halloran (Leo), Porter's Lake; Terry, Guysborough Intervale; and many nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Bobby and nephew, Matthew Chisholm.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday from 3 - 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:30am in St. Andrew's Church, St Andrews, with Reverend Charles Cameron presiding. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Guysborough Intervale, in the spring.

Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Patsy Allan for the care and compassion she has shown Jerry over the past several years.
