Mason, Havelock Arthur, age 89 of Antigonish and Country Harbour died peacefully in St. Martha's Regional Hospital on May 4, 2015.

Born in Isaac's Harbour, he was the son of the late Firth and Hallie (Crooks) Mason. He served his country in WWII in the Engineering Corps with duty in several countries overseas. He spent most of his thirty-six year working life sailing on the Great Lakes as a Quarter Master, a job that he loved. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59 and Past Master and Chaplain of Stormont Lodge#96 of the Masonic Order.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Marion (Fenton) Mason; son, Wayne (Janice) and daughter Charlene (Raymond). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Kristy (Justin), Ryan, Taylor, Haley and Braeden; great grandchildren, Abby and Mason; sister, Kathleen and brother, James.

He was predeceased by brothers, Vernon and Granville.

Visitation in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm from where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am with Reverend John Luten presiding.

A private family burial in Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Country Harbour.
