Henley, Wilfred Earl, 84,
of St. Andrew's, Antigonish Co., passed away on June 17, 2015 at St.
Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in
Pleasant Valley, Upper Musquodobit, he was a son of the late Isaac
Franklin and Addie (Hamilton) Henley.
Wilfred had a
keen mind and was a man of many talents. During his lifetime he worked
as a woodsman, millwright and autobody repairman. He loved old cars
and to hunt and fish.
He will be
greatly missed by his wife of fifty-eight years, Margaret (Dean);
sons: Anthony "Tony" and James, at home; daughters: Darlene
(Scott) Green, Pictou Co.; Angela (Eugene) Benoit, Dunmore; Laurie Ann
(William) Wallace, Ashdale; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great
grandchildren; brothers: Brodie (Lauretta), Trenton; Leroy (Bernice),
Hilden; Charlie (Joan), Upper Musquodobit; sister, Lowella Farnell,
Dean Settlement; sisters in law: Mary, Barbara, Susanna, Rosley;
brother in law, Frank Gale, many nieces and nephews and special
nephew, Kenny (Janet) Henley.
He was
predeceased by brothers: Russell, Stewart, Marshall, Howard, Harrison,
infant brother, Levi; sister, Amy Gale; sister in law, Ruth and
brother in law, George Farnell.
There will be
no visitation or funeral service. Burial at a later date. Memorial
donations may be made to St. Martha's Hospital Foundation or the
