MacDonald, Leo Daniel, age 83, of London, England,
and formerly of Brierly Brook, Antigonish County, passed away on
February 6, 2015 in London.
Born January 2, 1932, he was the son of the late John
A. and Margaret (Purcell)
MacDonald.
Leo studied at St. Francis Xavier University in
Antigonish and Sir George Williams in Montreal. He served in the
Canadian Armed Forces and was employed for several years by the U.S.
military in Goose Bay, Labrador. Later he was employed as an
accountant in Montreal before transferring to London, England.
He is survived by sisters: Mary (late Felix)
McLernan, Mississauga, Ont; Ruth (late Frank) Blake, Houston, Texas;
brother, Joseph (Kathleen), Montreal.
He was predeceased by sisters: Alice (late Alex)
MacAdam; Marguerite (late Donald) MacLellan; Hilda (late Arthur)
Hunter; Claire (late Cecil) MacNeil; brothers: James and Leonard.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ninian's Cathedral,
Antigonish on Friday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Bernard MacAdam
(nephew) presiding. Interment will be in the family plot in St.
Ninian's
Cemetery.
