Parker (Kolbinskie), Felice Sophie, 69, Halifax, died Monday July 20, 2015 in Melville Lodge. Born September 6, 1945 in New York City. She was a daughter of the late George Bell Kolbinskie and Anne Frieda Baumgardt. She married John (Jack) Joseph Parker July 18, 1982 in Star of the Sea Parish, Canso.

She was adventurous, as was illustrated by her many travels throughout North America. Swimming gave her great pleasure throughout her life, perhaps stemming from her youth spent on Far Rockaway Beach or as the captain of her Far Rockaway High School swim team. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and was often camping, boating, hunting, and gardening. Her manicured yard was admired by many; she was an award winning cook and loved to be the boss in the kitchen; she adored the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and she loved to win playing backgammon. She was Mrs. Fixit, never backing down from a challenge and never afraid to try something new. She did most of these things with her husband until his death in 2007.

Surviving are daughters: Kathy Mason, Antigonish; Tisha (Klint) Parker Kemp, Bayside; son John Parker, Daytona Beach FL as well as Jack’s children: Brian Nova Scotia, Jacquie, Alberta, Dean, British Columbia and Paula, Nova Scotia and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Robert (Kayle), Christopher, Matthew, twins Zachary and Felicia and Parker, twins Tiffanie and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Elizabeth and William; brothers: Nelson ,Louisiana; Donald, Larry and Clark, Florida, and twin sister Faith, Florida. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Felice is predeceased by her husband Jack and sisters Martha, June and Georgiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish from 4:30 to 6:30pm.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the CNIB. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
