Daley, James Francis, 72, of
Pine St., Antigonish, died July 24th, 2015 at St. Martha's Regional
Hospital.
Born on March 12, 1943 in Canso, he was a son of the late
Vincent and Amanda (Munroe) Daley.
Jim worked at Bethany in his early years. He started working
for Michelin in 1972 and remained there until he retired 13 years ago.
He enjoyed watching hockey and going to his son's and grandkid's
hockey games, as well as volunteering with the Junior B Bulldogs. Jim
had a love of bowling and playing cards (losing was not his strong
suit). He especially loved spending time with his
grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Clara (Pettipas), his daughters
Brenda Daley, William's Point and Marlene Archibald, Antigonish; son
Steven (Natasha née Zinck), New Glasgow; sisters: Sarah
(Eldon) Halloran, Guysborough; Marion (Donnie) Sampson, Little Dover;
Irene (Al) Newell, Canso; Regina (Michael) Hamer; Fredericton, NB;
brothers: Howard (Vivan), Whitehead; Emmitt (Marilyn), Margaree;
grandchildren, Keith Daley (Terry Jordan) with daughter Charleigh,
Bradley Daley, Laurie Archibald, Bobby Archibald, Ethan Daley, and
Avery Daley.
Predeceased by sisters Isabelle and twins Moira and
Marrisa.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in C.L. Curry
Funeral Home 135 College St. Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held on
Monday at 1:00pm in St. Ninian Cathedral with Reverend Donald
MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
