Chisholm, Alexander “Barry”, 60, Pomquet, Antigonish Co, passed away suddenly on December 9, 2010 at a place he loved best, his Christmas tree lot in Summerside Road, Antigonish Co.

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Donald and Margaret (Delaney) Chisholm.

Barry retired from Michelin Tire in 2008 where he worked on production for 37 years. He was a member of the Northeastern Christmas Tree Association and a former member of the Antigonish Kinsmen Club. He was an avid sportsman, having played ball and hockey in his youth. Barry was a keen follower of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He is survived by his wife, the former Annie Mae DeYoung; daughters: Michelle, Calgary; Nicole (Marc) Brown and grandson, Nolan, Calgary; father-in-law, Bernard Deyoung, Pomquet; sisters: Moira MacLeod, Dartmouth; Pat (Kenny)Boyle , Afton; Coline (Wayne) Myette, Tracadie; Donalda, Antigonish; brothers: Ronnie (Alberta), Goshen; Delaney (Marlene), New Glasgow; John (Debbie), Summerside Road; Duncan (Frances), Bayfield; Brendan (Suzanne MacDonald), Summerside Road, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by infant brother, Michael; mother-in-law, Lena DeYoung; brothers-in-law: Pierre and Joseph DeYoung and Sheldon MacLeod.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in Ste.Croix Church, Pomquet with Rev. P.J. Bacardax presiding. Burial at a later date.
