DeRabbie, James Francis, 70, of Greenwold Manor, Antigonish and formerly of Hazel Hill, Guysborough Co. passed away on October 19, 2015 at home.

Born in Antiognish, he was a son of the late James Murdock and Mary (Richard)DeRabbie.

Francis was a mechanic by trade having worked for DeRabbie's Esso in Hazel Hill. He had also worked as an elevator technician in Ontario. Francis was a founding member and fomer chief of the Hazel Hill and District Volunteer Fire Department. His passions were the fire department and working with his tools.

He is survived by sons, George (Alice), Maryvale; Allen (Tina St. Germain), Milton Ont; grandchildren, Mary (Chad Prosper), James (Haley), Chantal, Lilly, Dakota, Ella, and Joseph; great grandchild Emma; his former wife, Valvetta Hendsbee.

There wil be no visitation. No flowers by request. A memorial service will be held in Hazel Hill at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish. Donations may be made to your local fire department. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com
