Glenn, Shawn William, age 70 of Heatherton, Antigonish County, passed away suddenly on January 28, 2021, at home.

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Chisholm) Glenn.

Shawn was a proud member of Boilermakers Local 73.  In his retirement years, he was a superb skidsteer operator at Connors Farm in Bayfield.  Shawn loved all sports, especially bowling, at which he excelled.  He had also been an infielder on the Heatherton Warriors softball team, and his favourite hockey team was the Chicago Blackhawks.  One of his favourite pastimes was playing crib with his old pal, Archie.  Shawn was a kind and gentle soul who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to family and friends.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Shawn is survived by his brothers, Lorne (Rosie), Tracadie; Myles (Margie), Heatherton; and Claude (Margie), Heatherton; Roy (Cindy), Antigonish; and Jack (Debbie), Malignant Cove; sisters, Brenda Mattie, Cape Jack; Paula (Carlin) Connors, Bayfield; and Anita (Brian) Chisholm, Heatherton; and brother-in-law, Archie Val Chisholm.

Predeceased by his sisters, Wanda and Rhonda; and brother-in-law, Melvin Mattie.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no public visitation.

A private family funeral will be held Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, Rev. Andrew Gillies presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery.

The funeral will be recorded and available for viewing on the funeral home website later in the day.

In Memoriam, donations to Heatherton Community Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steve Gallant and Shawn's friends at AA for their support over the years.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.  Online condolences:
