Chisholm,
Charles Edward, age 86, of Antigonish, formerly St. Andrews, passed
away suddenly at home on April 12, 2021.
Born in Ogden, Guysborough County, he was the son of the late
Henry and Eva (Flynn) Chisholm.
Charlie had a generous, youthful spirit that left a good
impression on everyone. He loved bingo, puzzles, and horse
pulls. He was a good storyteller who loved to gather with
friends and family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his
pride and joy. Charlie worked as a mechanic for Gerald Jones
for many years. He enjoyed his retirement years at Greenwold Manor and
enjoyed the many friends he made there.
He is survived by three sons: Michael (Trish), St. Andrews;
Daryl (Terri) and John (Kealey) of West Virginia; two daughters,
Cecelia (Wyman) MacEachern and Maria Penney of Antigonish;
grandchildren: Darren, Samantha. Mikaela, Tyler, Haley, Ivy, London;
great grandchildren, Brayden and Owen; sister: Anna Connolly,
Guysborough Intervale and brother, Henry, Halifax.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean (MacIsaac) and son,
Blaise.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College
Street, Antigonish on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral Mass will be in St. Andrew’s Church St. Andrews on
Friday, April 16th at 11:00 am with Reverend
Andrew Gillies presiding. Burial in St. Andrews Cemetery at
a later date. Family flowers only please.
