Pettipas, Emma Pearl, age 85, formerly of Linwood, Antigonish County, passed away suddenly on May 17, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Elias and Rose Madonna (Levangie) DeCoste.

Emma was a hard-working woman, raising nine children who loved coming home to the smell of her cooking and baking.  She cared for everyone and asked for nothing in return.  She enjoyed bingo, cross stitching, crocheting, and especially her Sunday Social of church and then Tim Hortons.

She is survived by her children, Mary Rose Pettipas and her children, Cory, Jeffrey, and Travis; Stephen Pettipas (Sarah Joyce) and his children, Loretta, Bradley, and Chad; Donna (Carl) Burton and son, Adam; Russell (Mary) Pettipas and children, Josh and Jenna; Elaine (Brian) Carr and children, Shawn and Tyson; Carol (Freddie) Greencorn and children, Brianna and Brittany; Theresa (Wayne) Samson and children, Roslyn and Abby; Bernice (Gary) Meister and children, Rachel and Katelyn; and Laurie (Anthony) Chisholm and children, Taylor and Brayden; 10 great-grandchildren with three on the way; brother Lawrence (Annette) DeCoste, Havre Boucher; and sister-in-law, Darlene DeCoste.  She will be sadly missed by her many friends.

Predeceased by her husband, Joe; brother, Carlie, and sisters, Yvonne, and Ida.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, on Thursday, July 22nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass will be in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie on Friday at 11:00 am with Reverend John Barry presiding.  Burial in Parish Cemetery. A recording of the Funeral Mass will be available on this webpage later this afternoon.

In Memoriam, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
