Gosbee, Frank Arthur, age 86, of Pomquet.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and neighbour which occurred on January 14, 2022 in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish.

Born May 28, 1935, in Guysborough, he was a son of the late Murray Garfield and Mary Elizabeth (Peart) Gosbee.

At a young age, Frank moved to Toronto, Ontario, where he would work various jobs until he moved back to Nova Scotia and worked for the Volvo Plant when it opened in Halifax in 1963.  While attending a dance in Pomquet, he met Rose Marie Landry and two years later, on August 14, 1965, they were married.

While living in Dartmouth, they raised three sons, and in 1977, Frank moved his young family to Pomquet, where he built a home and enjoyed working at the Michelin tire plant in Granton, Pictou County, until he retired at the age of 56.

In his retirement, Frank enjoyed working on little projects in his shop, but took great pride in his gardens and sharing their bounty with family and friends. His greatest joy was his family and praising their accomplishments, be it his wife, their sons, his daughters-in-law, and his grandchildren, for whom he held a special place in his heart.

Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rose (Landry), and their sons, Joey (Mary), Fort McMurray/Pomquet; Peter (Mary Anne), Heatherton/Fort McMurray; and Wayne (Amieé), Houston, Texas; his three grandchildren, Danica, Heatherton; Brydon, Fort McMurray; and Kelsee, Houston; brother, Garfield "Junie" (late Pauline); sister-in-law, Shirley, Guysborough; and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters, Dorothy (Reginald) MacPherson, Trudy (Carl) Bresson, Edith (Michael "Red Mick") McIntyre; and brother, Maxwell.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation. A private family funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00am, and the funeral will be streamed live on the funeral home’s website.

In Memoriam, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Ste. Croix Cemetery Fund, or the Antigonish Town & County Palliative Care Society appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish. Online condolences:  www.clcurry.com
