MacInnis, Christopher Ryan,
Antigonish/Edmonton
With broken hearts, we announce the
sudden, unexpected passing of Christopher Ryan MacInnis, 39, in
Edmonton, Alberta on January 17, 2022.
Christopher was born in Antigonish NS,
on May 17, 1982 and was the oldest son of Karen Kenny & Hughie
MacInnis, and the oldest grandson of Douglas Kenny, Mardie Kenny-Long,
and R.J. & Betty MacInnis.
With his bright, beautiful, charismatic,
and energizing smile, he could light up a room in an instant. Since
the day he was born he was loved, loved, and then loved more. If there
was anyone who was loved it was Chris.
Chris was a very proud father and deeply
loved his three children Maddi, Connor and Makayla. They were the very
heart of his existence. He also had so much love for his brothers,
Matthew & Steven, and his sister
Kate.
He was spontaneous, outgoing, humorous,
and was always up for any type of adventure. We all knew that each day
with him was a precious gift to be treasured. God gave him to us for
39 years until he called him home to join Papa Doug, Nannie Mardie,
and Papa R.J. We know their arms were wide open as they welcomed him
home and told him, "now, it’s your time to
rest."
Chris was a Certified Crane Operator and
fulfilled this role with integrity, pride and prudence. Throughout his
career he worked in Nova Scotia, Alberta, and British
Columbia.
Chris is survived by his three children,
Maddi MacInnis, Antigonish, Makayla and Connor MacInnis, Edmonton, his
mother Karen Kenny (Ron Dunbar), Doha, Qatar, his father Hughie
MacInnis (Yvonne Reardon), Labrador, brothers Matthew MacInnis
(Victoria), Steven MacInnis (Victoria), sister Kate Avery, Antigonish,
his grandmother Betty MacInnis, Antigonish, and a large extended
family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a large circle
of friends. Chris holds a very special place in all of their
hearts.
Chris was predeceased by his
grandfather, R.J. MacInnis, grandfather Doug Kenny and grandmother,
Mardie Kenny-Long.
Chris. We love you. We miss you. We are
going to miss that big smile and will cherish our memories
together.
Always up for a cross-country journey,
Chris will have one final trip across Canada to his final resting
place in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. May you Rest in
Peace.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation
will be held Friday, April 29th, from 6 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral
Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be
held Saturday, April 30th, at 11:00am in St. Ninian Cathedral,
Antgonish. Burial in the parish cemetery.

children is being set up. Cheques can be made payable to
