Boudreau, Marie Christina, East Tracadie.

It is with sadness Marie’s family announce her death which occurred at Saint Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish on April 28, 2022.

Marie was born in Arisaig, August 24th, 1934, to the late Hector and Mildred MacDonald.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Boudreau of East Tracadie; sons: Gary (Sheila) of Hampton, N.B., Carmen (Theresa) of Dagger Woods;  Darren (Shelley), Kelowna, B.C.; daughters:  Laverne, Hamilton, Ont. ; Lynn (Keith) Hamilton, Ont; twin sisters, Alexina and Loretta. She is also survived by, and was very proud of, her twelve  grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.  She was quite happy when they were around.

In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by infant son Eugene, brothers Jimmy, Billy, Jackie, sister Betty, half brother Buddy and half sister Eileen.

Marie prayed the Holy Rosary faithfully, and was a lifetime member of St Peter’s CWL. She was an avid knitter and over the years many people were recipients of her lovely socks, mitts & slippers. Many a dish has been, and will continue to be, washed with the many dish cloths she knitted and gave away. Over the years Marie worked at the Goodman’s store in Antigonish, the Goshen Restaurant and the Port Hawkesbury Hotel Restaurant.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday, May 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Peter’s Church, Tracadie on Saturday, May 7th at 11:00 am with Father John Barry presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Martha’s Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care they provided to Marie. Donations may be made to St. Peter’s Parish or Cemetery Fund, Our Lady of Grace Monastery or charity of choice.  Online condolences:
