The death of Rita J Delorey occurred on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in St. Martha`s Regional Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born on June 17, 1922, in Tracadie, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Ann (Myette) Delorey. She was the last member of the immediate family.
Rita was a homemaker and lived in Hamilton, ON in her younger years, before returning home to look after her ailing parents.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by sister, Jean, brothers, Raymond, Charles, Russell, and Joseph.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, June 16th at C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held June 16, 2022, at 2 pm in St. Peter`s Church, Tracadie with Reverend John Barry presiding. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
