Julian, Samantha Jane of Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation
passed away at home on June 29, 2022, at the age of 41. Born
in Antigonish she was the daughter of Donald Julian and the late Janie
(Lewis) Julian.
A beautiful Mi’kmaw woman with a kind heart, she
will be remembered for so many different things by all those that knew
her; the love she had for family, her beautifully designed nails, her
snazzy sneakers, and her passion for baking and cooking for family and
friends. To her family she will be best known for her ability to make
luski like her favorite "Auntie Marie" who taught her well.
A gentle and kind soul offered up a helping hand whenever
she could.
The one thing that was guaranteed to bring a smile to her
face and a sparkle in her eye was whenever she spoke of children, she
loved them all unconditionally.
She is survived by her life-long partner Darcy
O’Brien; children Tyrel, Tyra, Tristen, and Teagan; sister,
Shannon Julian; brothers, Terry (Sam), Donald Jr (Doogie), and Freeman
all of Paqtnkek; sister Carlina Paul of Halifax; Godparents, Peter
Lafford and Juliana Julian; Godchild, Ronin Julian; and her special
friend, Daejah Johnson.
She is predeceased by sister Leila Ann; paternal
grandparents, Freeman and Theresa (Battiste) Julian and maternal
grandparents Matthew and Martha
(Paul).
