It is with
heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather, Clarence G. "Kenny"
Hudson of Braemore Avenue, Antigonish, on May 13, 2023, in St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, at the age of
91.
Born in
Country Harbour on July 31, 1931, he was a son of the late Clarence
and Margaret (Jones) Hudson.
Dad retired
from MacGillivray Fuels Ltd. at 60. He was an avid fisherman
and outdoorsman, spending much of his time in the countryside
surrounding Antigonish.
He is
survived by his sons, Lawrence, Pomquet; Louie (Lois), Clydesdale;
Jimmy, Calgary; and Arnold, Cape George; and daughter, Shirley (Jimmy
J.) MacDonald, Arisaig; Joyce (John) Crout, Porter’s Lake;
and Dianne Bailey, Antigonish; and many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. He is also survived byhis siblings,
Joan, Judy, Cheryl, and Alton.
Predeceased
by his wife, Theresa (Chiasson); son, Mitch, and daughter-in-law,
Donna; daughter Mary MacDonald and son-in-law, Lawrence; sons-in-law,
Carl Bailey and Mervin Hauck; grandson, Troy, and brothers, Floyd and
Johnny.
Cremation has
taken place, and at dad’s request, there will be no
visitation. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10:00am in
St. Ninian Cathedral, Antigonish, with Reverend Daniel MacLennan
presiding. Burial in the parish
cemetery.
